iLab was constituted as an accelerator-incubator whose aim was to provide a world-class education to motivated students regardless of age and background to create IDEs and promote socio-economic development through entrepreneurship.
The iLab project started activities with three mandates: (1) foster regional innovation and entrepreneurship, (2) create start-ups to sustain upward social mobility, and 3) spread education and to offer consulting services to the industry.
Starting 2016 team’s vision expanded to exploit Mexico’s demographic advantage while taking advantage of the demand for technology adoption and transfer between industries by tackling three main objectives:
•To speed up businesses and technology design to be competitive in the international markets
•To insert the youth productively within the innovation ecosystem
•Closing the skills gaps for emerging entrepreneurs and intra-entrepreneurs at SME’s
iLab is a for-profit social business organization and operates as a business consultancy bureau. Its intervention methodology, tools, and processes were developed by the systemic design approach. Its implementation tools cover various methodologies around Open Innovation, Business Model Design, Sustainable Product Design, and the implication on Cultural Organizational Change.
iLab’s approach consists of an integrated consultancy and education service focused on learning by doing, which allows concrete results in a short time.
We work in three areas:
1) Fostering a business process for creating executive change teams and generating strategies or products from agile design cells, innovation laboratories, or co-design sessions.
2) Innovating in technological products and circular business models to create high-impact startups and the human talent that forms companies.
3) Opening spaces such as forums, webinars, workshops, content design, tools, and everything allows us to share knowledge with those seeking to make a difference in the world through Innovation.
We encourage participants to develop Innovation that allows them to exploit a business opportunity that evolves into a company. iLab sessions enable participants to learn in a guided environment where they quickly discover, or construct solutions based on experimentation.
