While the Heilbronn-Franken region is known for its innovative strength and competitive economy, it also faces a number of challenges in further developing its entrepreneurial ecosystem. These include, for example, the digital transformation in established companies, the increasing shortage of skilled workers and limited commercial space for new companies and partners from research and education to settle. Although the region has established companies, the start-up ecosystem is still in its initial phase and requires better integration of initiatives and increased collaboration between stakeholders.
Our vision is to position Heilbronn-Franken as a leading innovation location in Europe by leveraging its educational and technological advantages. To this end, we want to work with the various players in the innovation ecosystem, which was largely built by the Dieter Schwarz Foundation, to develop a coherent strategic value proposition within the framework of MIT REAP. This should provide the best possible support for companies and organizations in the region as they undergo the necessary transformation and be attractive to new companies and start-ups. By promoting collaboration and sustainable growth, we aim to attract talent and drive innovation for long-term economic vitality and prosperity.
