Eastern Province, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Cohort 8

The largest province by area within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), with the city of Dammam as its capital. The Eastern Province is home to most of Saudi Arabia’s oil production and the City of Jubail, a global hub for chemical industries. In addition, its coastal location and proximity to the other Gulf states make it a popular tourist attraction.

MIT REAP Team Eastern Province of KSA will focus on becoming a key driver of KSA’s economic development by enabling innovation-driven entrepreneurs in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and beyond. Stakeholders represented on the team include the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at), KFUPM University, and representing the corporations is Aramco.
