Botswana faces significant challenges in building an innovation-driven entrepreneurial ecosystem, including limited digital infrastructure, a skills mismatch, restricted startup funding, and regulatory barriers. The small market size and weak entrepreneurship culture hinder the development of competitive, specialized solutions.

Participation in MIT REAP will provide Botswana with essential tools and expertise to transform its ecosystem. The program will offer training, mentorship, and access to MIT’s global network, fostering collaboration among stakeholders. The REAP Team will develop strategic initiatives to drive innovation, boost job creation, and enhance global competitiveness, ultimately strengthening Botswana’s economy.
