MIT REAP Team Ashdod’s regional focus is on the city of Ashdod, which is located in the Southern District of Israel. Israel’s largest port city on the Mediterranean with a history of manufacturing and industrial processes.
Highly educated population.
Very close to Tel Aviv, which is currently the entrepreneurial hub of Israel.
Needs to find clusters it can attract based on its uniqueness.
Post military population tends to move towards the center for the country to access universities and jobs
Well balanced team (high involvement from all team members) but lacks a focus on entrepreneurs and a way to mobilize the team to support entrepreneurship in the region.
